Every asset you bought.
Found in seconds.
bitcrate indexes the packs from every store you buy from, finds any file by how it looks or sounds, and keeps licenses and credits straight – right on your machine.
The problem
Hundreds of packs. Five stores. One messy Downloads folder.
Search
Search files, not packs.
Type “wooden door” and get the sprites, tiles and creaks that look or sound like one – even if nobody ever tagged them. Matching runs locally, on your machine.
Licenses
Never ship without credits.
Point bitcrate at your game project. It recognizes every asset file, shows which licenses need attribution and writes a CREDITS.md that stays in sync.
Inbox
Everything new, in one place.
New downloads, store purchases, updates and duplicates land in one inbox – already tagged, with the license detected. One key to add, one to ignore.
How it works
Three steps. No upload.
- 01 Point it at your folders Your asset folder and Downloads. bitcrate starts indexing right away.
- 02 It sorts itself out Previews, tags, licenses and duplicates – detected locally, editable any time.
- 03 Find, drag, credit Search, drop files into your engine, let the project scan handle attribution.
Pricing
Buy it once. Keep it.
No subscription for the app. Updates for a year are included – and the app keeps working after that.
FAQ
Good questions.
Does bitcrate change my files?
No. Archives and folders stay exactly as they are. Tags, ratings and licenses live in bitcrate's own database, with an optional meta.json export.
Which platforms does it run on?
macOS and Linux at launch. Windows follows later.
Which engines does it work with?
Godot, Unity and Unreal are detected automatically. Any other tool works through drag & drop or plain folders.
Which stores are supported?
Anything you can download works through watched folders. itch.io connects directly at launch; more stores follow.
Do I need an account or internet?
No. Indexing and search run on your machine. Store sync is optional.
